The thing you need to note is that the steps only work if the disk is already partitioned and partially formatted -- as it would be if you've tried the builder and it's failed (because it's usually only formatting the music partition that fails).

That's why my instructions assume you've got a working primary disk and you're doing the second disk. Once you've done that, you can take the old primary out, promote the newly-formatted disk to primary, and then put in the other new disk as the secondary.

However, srhodes obviously got it all going, so cool. Congratulations on your larger disks.
