My guess is that SlimDevices will become integral to Logitech in very much the same way that empeg became integral to SonicBlue. They've got great software and a good hardware design. With Logitech, they can probably get their costs down and their volume up. (Maybe they could also rewrite SlimServer to run faster with large libraries and to be internally multithreaded. Today, when you ask a Squeezebox to do something complicated, like play your entire library shuffled, the whole thing hangs for a minute while it's thinking about it...)
