I just thought I would let everyone know that I have located a good source for PERFECT cases for their units.

I remembered from a few years ago that Case Logic made a pull-out car stereo case (Model CSC-1) but it is no longer in production due to the mainstream popularity of the removeable-face head units.

Well, I found a place on the web selling them (they must have bought an entire lot of them) and they are DIRT CHEAP (like $14.00!!!)

For those interested, the link is:

http://www.adelcom.net/CaseCLSpecialty.htm

The site is rather cheesy, and they were initally hard to reach, but once I ordered, it arrived promptly and I am quite pleased with it.

I hope everyone finds this useful! I am now happy to have protection for my investment!!!

Cheers,

Rob

Hell Yeah! I just called and ordered two. The guy was very helpful - he was kind of incredulous as to why these had "suddenly become so popular". I explained to him and told him to check out the empeg site.

Better hurry up if you want some....

CaseLogic also do a case for removable drives that is just right for an Empeg, with the bonus of two decent sized outer pockets that'll hold a couple of CDs, USB & serial cables, a mobile phone and your remote ! Manufacturer's page here.

Since they don't seem to do international shipping (Merchandise will be shipped only to a verified U.S. billing address), if anyone in the US that is ordering would be willing to order an extra one and forward it across the atlantic to Sweden, I'd be very greatful. I'm willing to advance money (preferrably via Paypal) to cover the bag and shipping.

I just ordered 2 for myself also.

Looks like they're having bad weather down there in Florida where he is. Hope nothing serious happens.

I went to the link and looked at the case. It looks like a great deal to me, and I am thinking about ordering one myself. I do have the original empeg case, and while it works for me fine, I would like a little more room to carry extras. This new case seems like it has that.

My only question to those of you that have already ordered the new case.. what are the dimensions?

Thanks!

I found these on Tower Hobbies, they are supposed to be for radio control system transmitters which are around the same size as empegs.

Shipping on this to Houston TX USA is ~$9.50 which includes a $4.00 handling fee, so total is about $25...

According to the guy I spoke with there are only about 12 or so left as of the time of this message.
