I've installed MS Visio 2000 (sp1) onto win2K (sp2) and the defaults for the sheet are black. When I start a new file the page colour is black, the schema sidebar is black, the application window area is black. I can change the page colour and see the page no problems but all the other window areas are black.

I've installed this version onto another pc and it works fine. Any Ideas?

Oh, you must have chosen the "Disaster Area Stunt Ship" skin when you installed it.

he he. Damn, I didn't see the skin prefs on the install! maybe they were done in the same style. a black dialog on a black background pops up and in black writing tells you that if you don't take further action it will install the Disaster Area skin, the only button is black and cancels the install if pressed.

Any other tips?

Not sure if this what you're refering to but if the screen looks anything like the left pic on the attachment then close your files, select Tools>Options and change the 4 colors that are in the lower right corner. Then open a new file.
