burdell1 old hand Registered: 14/01/2002 Posts: 931 Loc: Minnetonka, MN	Has anyone tried those "cheap" ink refills for ink jet printers at all for an extended period of time? I was wondering if they were worth buying or would it wreck my printer?

mtempsch pooh-bah Registered: 02/06/2000 Posts: 1996 Loc: Gothenburg, Sweden	Well, I've done four refills into the same cartridge (black) for a Canon BJC 250 and prints are still looking the same (as far as I can tell) as when new. I mainly print text though... Just make sure you don't have one of the cartridges with "smarts" in them that refuse to work after X number of pages, no matter if there's still ink in them... /Michael _________________________ /Michael

JBjorgen carpal tunnel Registered: 19/01/2002 Posts: 3583 Loc: Columbus, OH	Generic inkjet cartridges completely hosed our Epson Photo EX. We had to send it off for repair it was so badly clogged. As far as refills go, I've only done a couple, but stay away from the generic compatible cartridges. Also, when viewed side by side with the epson stuff, the quality was quite clearly worse (even the black). _________________________ ~ John
