Just wanted to say hello. I have been reading alot of the posts on here recently and decided to take the plunge and become a member. I am on the waiting list #14979 for a Mk2. Does anyone know what kind of a time frame I might be looking at? This fall? Winter? Spring?

...Most likely this fall.. They're shipping (hopefully) 950 players in about 2 weeks and (hopefully again:) another 1000 the month after that.

Sounds good, thanks for the info. I can't wait to get it. I have been unable to sleep for awhile thinking of different setups in my car, naming protocol for my mp3's, directory structures, etc. Sorry if you didn't feel the same way before getting one, but all of this good press has really gotten to me. I was on the waiting list for the original mk1, just after it came out but at the time I was only a kid. I am now 19 and have a good job in software so I can finally afford one.

Also, what is the procedure when your number is up? Do you have a time frame to order, or can you order at any time after it is your turn. I just don't want my time to come up and not have enough money to afford it and then lose my space in the queue. September/October would be perfect!

You get one chance to defer, then you drop out of the queue. We should be shipping from stock by October anyway - hopefully!
