I was wondering if anyone around here would be interested in a 20 gig mkII without a sled, and if so, how much it would be worth to them? I am considering selling mine, but if it's not worth much without a sled I'll just keep it as a spare.

Man, I honestly don't know. I feel like I'm commiting some sort of horrible crime even condsidering selling it in the first place, but it also seems wrong to have it doing nothing in the back of my closet.

I know that I'd sho' nuff sell it today for $600. I don't think I'd sell it for $300. Anything in between would take some consideration.

Question: Why are you selling the player without the sled?

That's a fair enough question. I just bought a second vehicle and would like to have a sled in both of my vehicles. I have a spare Empeg all safe in it's box, doing nothing. I was already considering selling the spare, but now I'd like to keep the sled for myself, if possible. I'm also asking if anyone is selling a sled, as I thought that it might be more cost effective to buy a new sled and sell the Empeg whole with sled.

In case anyone is interested, I should add that this would be sold in box, with manual, software, remote, plug, serial & usb cables - everything but the sled.

well, since the sleds originally cost roughly $125 (IIRC) I imagine about $475 would be a fair price since the going rate on ebay is about $600 for a complete 20 gig.
