Hey guys, Is there a way to adjust the sensitivity on the volume control? I have to turn the know alot for the volume to go up and down. A friend of mine said he thought there was a way to make the knob more responsive. Anybody know??

Thanks

LOL!!

It's no big deal, just thought I would ask if there was a way to make the knob more responsive.

I seem to remember someone using hijack to remap each knob click to two or three volume changes, but I've never tried it.

In all honesty, when I first got mine, it bugged me, too, but the ability to control the volume with the amount of precision that that allows outweighed that annoyance quite a bit. That is, I'm sure we've all been in the situation where the stereo's too quiet, but the next click up is too loud. Never had anything resembling that problem with the empeg.

Phireman19, what version of the player software is installed? They made changes to the volume behavior in version 2.0. The faster you turn the knob, the faster it increases the volume (to a point... it's possible to turn it too fast and get slowed response). Perhaps you simply need to upgrade to the latest software.

Hey Tony,
I have the latest software installed. I know what you mean by turning it too fast. Oh well, it's no big deal, just thought I would inquiry about it.
Thanks

It seems like they made it less responisive in beta 13. I remember someone changing the responsiveness somehow. I think it was either ynot or genixia.

I didn't do it with the knob, I did it with my Pioneer steering-wheel remote. One click on my remote turns into 5 "volume clicks" when received via IR translations. I can't remember if the same can be done with the knob, though I do know the KnobLeft and KnobRight codes are usable as IR translations.

Apparently you were right, without realizing it.
