I have a mac running OS X and just downloaded jemplode, now I have to get the 2.0 kernel into my empeg,
At the current time, you need to borrow a friend's Windows PC to put the 2.0 software onto the empeg. Or you need to run a Windows Emulator on your mac, and get an RS-232 serial port working with the Windows emulator.
Emplode is the PC side of the software. You also need an ".upgrade" file to send to the player. That's the player firmware. It includes a kernel as well as all of the on-disk software for the player.
Hijack is an add-on aftermarket hacked kernel replacement that should only go in place after the 2.0 software is fully installed and running.
