No, not long, large.

I often output my computer display to my TV using my All in Wonder card. The problem? The text is pretty much unreadable on any setting whatsoever. The solution? I need to find a way to make the text of the file names larger.

I don't want to just apply the "Large Font Size" option in display preferences, because I don't want to apply this to everything. I want to find a way to apply it only to one folder. I'm keeping all my video playlists in one folder, and then I can just play everything from there, and only have one folder to open. I've tried various templates and editing those templates, but there doesn't seem to be any way of enlarging the file names, only the web content of the folder.

Is there a way to do what I'm talking about? This is in Win2K.

AFAIK, not without a whole bunch of programming effort. Someone might have done it already, though.

What you could consider is periodically generating an HTML index of the files in that folder -- then you can make the font as large as you want.

I had my software support guys at the office try and crack this one, because I do the same on my TV with my playlists ( I use my Empeg on another computer), but they never came up with a viable answer.

Thanks, you guys are way ahead of me.

I suppose that HTML idea aint half bad. the contents aren't going to change much in that particular folder. I'll just be adding and subtracting one or two playlists at a time. I've been watching a lot of this stuff on my TV and it really is impossible to read the filenames, which is more annoying than making a little HTML file. Thanks!

I'd recommend using something like this.
