I know, some people would call that subject redundant.

I'm getting this thing now with IE where if I start up a new window (like click the quicklaunch icon), once the page loads, it will replace what is in the address bar with the phrase "Enter Keyword or Web Address here". It is quite annoying, because it gets inserted once the home page loads completely. Sometimes I'll be typing in an address and once the page gets loaded, what I was typing gets replaced by this annoying thing.

Also, what might be related, whenever a page can't be found, it takes me to this "Searchresults.com" page instead of a 404 or the MSN search. I found instructions for uninstalling it once, and followed them, but it came back again. Ad-aware cannot see it or whatever installs it. Does anyone know about this spyware/adware?

"Enter Keyword or Web Address here"

A spot of googling for that exact phrase suggests the following:

regsvr32 urlmon.dll

Thanks, for some reason I didn't see any good links when I googled for it. I think I've found one now.

*edit*
Well, I tried that, and it didn't work. Crap. What an annoying feature. I feel like I'm using AOL

*edit edit*
Nope, it worked. Thanks Roger

*sigh*
After several tries and reboots and a windows update, it's still the same.
