There are some t-shirts that i REALLY want to make. I've tried several different types of printable transfer paper, and basically, they all suck. At best, I can print in one color, black, and it might come out decent.

Does anyone know if any product that actually works? If not, where does one go when they want to make one (1) t-shirt? I want to be able to come up with some design in Adobe, take it somewhere and have them make it.

you could use cafepress.com... or just go to a good art store and buy a screen print kit for around $80 and make as many different screens as you want, and be able to reprint as many as you want. Not cheap going in, but you can do a hell of a lot with silk screen printing.

I've used Colourmailer before to make a couple of t-shirts before and they turned out quite well. They only do white t-shirts though and they're quite pricey but it's an option. I think they only do Europe but there must be equivalent companies out there for wherever you are.

screen printing is very fun and frustrating at times, great way to kill a weekend though.

I have all SORTS of shirts that i want to make. If I could find an effecient way to get them done, i'd be in heaven.

Maybe i'll check out a couple art stores this weekend. Do you know of any here in southern california?

There's TONS of information on how to silk screen shirts on the web. a quick search should get you plenty of step by step instructions. Not sure of any art stores in SoCal. I'd try the phone book and call around and ask if they have silk screen kits... or all the stuff you'd need.
