If you have any interest at all in this genre of music, then you would be well advised to turn your recording devices towards this seven hour special featuring as big a cross section of the UK dance scene as you're ever going to find outside of a festival.

Plus........ after the event (some days usually) the BBC update their website with the track listings so you can identify those classic (and those shite!) songs.

Radio 1 DJs will go head to head in a battle to find the king of the beats. The action takes place in the sumptuous surrounds of Pacha, London, and the whole event is broadcast live on Radio 1 from 6pm - 1am and webcast live online.
