I think that I've encountered the worst BBS software ever -- zeroforum.
I've been trying to extract this information (and it may simply not exist) from the denizens of this other BBS (yes; I've been cheating on you), but I'm getting nowhere. I'm hoping that one of you might be able to help me out.
The BBS software doesn't have any obvious way to indicate which posts I've read and which I haven't. It does push recent threads to the top of the list, but if the thread's got fifty posts, it becomes difficult and annoying to figure out which ones are new. Right now, the only way I can see to do it is to estimate the last time I read th thread and see what posts are newer, but that isn't exactly accurate (unless I start taking precise notes about all my BBS time). It also has these lightbulb icons that look like they ought to indicate what forums have new threads or new posts by ``lighting up'', but they seem to be more random than anything else.
Does anyone have any experience with this system?
