I'm having problems grabbing this, my http download in IE6 craps out at about 24mb with the download progress indicator jumping to 100%. I know my isp (NTL) cache http data and usually when this sort of thing happens I simply grab the file from an alternative source or get it via ftp. Unfortunately there are no alternatives listed and I don't want to install some nagware download manager

Get a copy of wget for Windows. It's certainly not nagware.

wget is not going to help him, NTL have transparent web proxy servers that users have no choice but to use, wget will have the same problem that IE does (assuming that the problem is that the incomplete download has been cached by the proxy).

Not say that he shouldn't get wget, it's a great tool to have around.

You can bypass NTL proxy servers by forcing the use of a web proxy server on a port other than 80.

I think you will need to suffer the pain of registering with your (bogus?) details - the confirmation mail includes the product key that you will need.
