Due to personal circumstances, I find that I no longer need my S50.

It is a relatively new Rio S50, with original rechargable battery, power (US brick) & USB cables, and a 512MB SD memory card. Total storage capacity, nominally 640MB, but the memory manufacturers play the same number games that hard drive marketers do.

The original earbuds will be replaced with new in package Sennheiser earbuds. (I can't think of anyone that would want to buy used earbuds...) I do not have any of the documentation that came with it, or the original plastic packaging.

I will ship international, if someone is interested across the pond.

Sealed bid format: best offer received through email or PM by Friday evening, 7PM Eastern Daylight Time gets it (GMT -4). If no one is interested, I will put it up on ebay, but I thought I would let people here have a shot first.

It is in near mint condition. It was lightly used. No visible scratches or anything on the surface. I do not have the documentation, though. It will have the appropriate cables, etc. If I get a chance later, I can post some photos...

just out of interest, what make is the 512mb sd card?

It is a Lexar Media SD 512MB chip.

Actually, I am selling for a different reason - basically, I no longer need it, and I would rather pass it to someone who can use it and enjoy it. It is not for functionality or funding, but I would prefer not to go into details at this time.

No, not a beta tester. I don't even know if the program started yet. The person I bought it for no longer needs it, and rather than see it gather dust, I wanted to pass it along to someone else who could use / enjoy it.

I just want to chime in here and say that Paul is a great person to do bussiness with, and if I needed an S50 with a massive memory card, I'd much rather buy it from him than the Sonic Blue estore.

Doh! I was about to see if you would accept a $25 gift certificate as payment in full. But it looks like you don't need it.

I think it's supposed to work with the latest firmware upgrade for the Central. I.e., the one that is an internal release candidate that hasn't been released yet. I'm not sure if it works with the prior (current) software that's publicly available.
