Does anybody have a really good rare/bootleg record store they would recommend? I'm trying to find some stuff from the late '80s (finally given up on my stuff as never having a chance of being returned to me), mostly punk.

Any contact info for the stores would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Tim

I used to buy stuff from here until I moved out of the area, although their website says they will ship anywhere and they appear to have a downloadable catalogue.

It is years since I went there, but when I did they were always helpful.

Dunno if they're still around, and they never had a web presence I know of, but Second Coming Records in Cambridge, MA was a good source for me. The biz card I still have says:

Second Coming Records
1105 Mass. Ave.
Cambridge MA 02138
(617)576-6400

It also says mail order available.

I managed to find (I think) three of the albums on my list at Gemms.

When I get home, I'm going to call Second Coming Records and try to complete the list.

Thanks guys!

I'm not sure how many bootlegs (if any) you'll find at GEMM, but they have a whole lot of the official release stuff. I've gotten a lot of vinyl that I've been looking for there as well.

I'm impressed with GEMM. One of the CDs was a German import from 1987. It was shipped today.

Really cool, but one of my coworkers is getting ready to beat me because I'm way too upbeat and bouncy now

Greetings!

Here is another place to try. I have been there a few times, and they do have a massive selection. I have not checked out GEMM yet as a comparison, but this might be worth while.

Edit: I just checked out their site again. They do not do mail order or internet sales.
