There was one on ebay just a bit ago that closed at $61. I really wanted it, but $40 was about my limit.

My suggestion would be to go to ebay and set up their auto-search thing to email whenever the words empeg and bag or case appear.

I'm curious if I can find someone to repair my old bag. I've still got my original with a broken zipper that I'm not using.

Note to anyone with a bag or obtaining a bag: Do not ever partially unzip the bag. Always unzip it fully all the way to the hilt before opening. The zipper damage I incurred was because I would only unzip it as far as one of the "corners", meaning that the zipper itself was stressed at that corner each time I used the bag. Eventually the zipper broke at the corner. The new bag has not incurred any damage, in over a year of use, since I've been unzipping it fully each time.

I think any dry cleaning place should do it. Usually they have signes in the window that say they do alterations. I would assume putting a zipper on a coat is the same as putting one on a empeg bag. Or is that not an alteration?

O.K. guys you've galvanised me into action, I have original black or blue Empeg bags, little used, one of which I would be happy to auction at Amersfoort to the highest bidder(If Rob can give me a short slot in the proceedings).

One of them came f.o.c. from the guys in Cambridge, so it would be churlish to profit from the auction, all proceeds from the sale will go to diabetes research, which I, and my company support as a nominated charity.

To make it fair for those not at the meet, I will take bids received by private message up to lunchtime on the 3rd July.

I suppose if you're not at the meet, but know somebody who is, you could bid by mobile, to make it fair.
