...but it's highly unlikely to solve your problem with your brakes. I really think you should take it in to the garage and get a diagnostic - it's your life, not a cereal packet, you are talking about here.

After thinking about what you describe, are you sure it's not just good, old fashioned brake judder? It feels a bit like ABS, but slower. There is some good background info here. Disclaimer - my company, Pro-Cut International owns & maintains this site. We make a lathe that's used for turning rotors & eliminating brake judder & pulsation.
