I am looking to buy a rio remote (i think my friend might have dropped mine out the passenger side door on accident). I am aware of the kenwood ones, but I thought I would try here first. Do the kenwood ones translate exactly or do they just function only for what buttons they have labeled? Thanks

Well, it's somewhat different than what's labelled, but it's not the same as the Rio remote, either. The Rio remote has more functions. Check out the Button Guide for differences. I'm sorry to say that I don't think there's a discrete list of differences anywhere.

There's a FAQ Entry that lists what you can/can't do with each, but I don't think it's 100 percent complete and accurate.
