Do they still respond from emails? I emailed them yesterday about my broken handle and now its 24 hrs later and still not one response. I just need to get a replacement handle. Does anyone have advice on how to do this?

Here is the email addy I used...

If you didn't get an autoresponse from carsupport@sonicblue.com then I suspect your email has ended up in a black hole somewhere. Nobody has responded to that address for almost a year - it was supposed to bounce back an email with Rob Schofields personal address.

Well still no response, or automated. This sucks. Anyone have a extra handle!? I tried JB WELD, and its not holding well.

Russ I have to add... Look at this thread! Paul already mentioned to look at another thread which explains the support situation. Remember that your player is out of warranty, so any support is unofficial. Please be patient.

That probably would have been the old support address. I have no clue what is up there, but from what I have seen there is no automated response from Rob S. But rather an email when your "support number is up" so to speak. If you haven't already, just send one email to Rob S at carsupport@xs4all.nl then wait. There is no specified time, so please be patient with it.

Quoted from the thread linked above:
Please continue to send in your requirements: they are being read and noted here.

So just wait. It's hard to be without a player... I had mine off for a month once, so I know it sucks. But please be patient. Your reply probably will not come until February.

Didn't someone suggest a piece of tube over the broken ends for now? Did you try it?

If you can't find metal tube, try a hobby shop.

Actually I don't recall anyone mentioning that. That is a good idea.

If no one mentioned it, then someone did it before. I wish I could take credit for the idea, but it's not mine.

What I think we established is that the automated response thing is history - if you were going to get one it would show up within a few minutes. Looks like sonicblue.com is a blackhole now (which seems appropriate).
