Ack, I've just loaded 70 GB to my player. I thought I was dragging and dropping the files correctly but apparently was not. I have no playlists but have listings under artists, albums, genres, and years.

Is there anyway to batch create playlists from the files on the player?

In order to get it to create the playlists, you must drop the folders from explorer onto the playlists folder. If you drop it onto anywhere else, the files will go into the soup without creating playlists.

After the fact, you can use Jemplode to create playlists based on soup criteria.

Thanks Tony. Unfortunately I had forgotten that and didn't re-read the FAQ until after I'd loaded the music. I'll see what I can do with soup criteria.
