Any of you graphics guru types out there feel like doing some skins for a game?

Figured it can't hurt to ask, and this place has a fairly high concentration of very talented artists.

Oh, and here's (avi) what game play is like. Well, not normal gameplay, that's a stunt track we made, but you get the idea.

Here's another one of the cars with a new skin by our league skinner. I realize I'm just talking to myself, but oh well.
You guys should at least try out the sim (Live For Speed), maybe some of you North Americans might want to join our league. The physics and the network play are incredible. Just a great all around sim, and this is only the first release.

I wouldn't mind doing a few just for the fun of it but I just don't have the time.
Besides, I've never done a skin for a 3D object before.
Is it basically just a one big image template that is mapped on or several individual images?

It was just a casual request, I didn't expect anyone to actually do one. It'd just be killer if someone did. I completely understand the time issues, I have that problem myself. Never can seem to get around to putting up the new layout we have for our league website. Plus, like I said, this would be a favor, so I didn't expect anyone to jump on it.

Oh, and yes; the skin is just a flat jpg, like the ones I linked a few posts ago.

If anything, I just wanted to expose LFS to more sim/race enthusiasts. It's amazing what three individuals can do all on their own. Not just that, but LFS is, IMHO, one of the (if not the) best sims out right now.

So all I would need is the CMX viewer and the LFS S1E full installed and I'm ready to skin?

That would be it!

Oh, and if you do a skin, please do put your name on it so you get full credit. If anyone does a skin for us I'll be sure to give them credit on our site too. That's part of the point of having others do skins for us anyway, especially people in the industry.
