A new wish:

Occasionally I hear a song in my collection which I truely dispise. It would be great if I could press a couple of buttons and delete the song from my empeg.

It would be even better if a record was kept and the master copy of the song was deleted from my PC on the next sync.

Not a new wish. I believe it was one of the things I wished for early-on when I first got my Empeg.

In version 1.1, we will get the ability to "mark" a track from the remote, then review the "marked" tracks once we're back at the PC. At that time, you can choose to delete it, re-rip it, whatever it was that you marked it for.

However, there won't be any deleting while you're driving because the music/database stuff is mounted read-only when you're driving. This is a safety feature and part of the shock protection.

How do you mark a track in v1.1?

It will be one of the keys on the remote control. Keep in mind that the current version is 1.01, and 1.1 isn't released yet.
