I cant get this release of jempeg to detect my empeg. It just sits at the searching screen. Emplode detects it fine.

Earlier versions dont seem to detect it either.

nevermind i installed the one with VM and it worked fine.

2.0b11 is actually woefully old ... I haven't kept jempeg.lorg up-to-date in quite a while, though (I've been meaning to update it). The latest-and-greatest jar file is at www.inzyme.com/rio/empeg . I /think/ you can keep the same installer and just replace jemplode.jar . Try that and see if you have better success.

Please upgrade to 2.0 final or 2.0 beta13 at least. 2.0 beta 11 has some bugs that, if they occur, will make your player behave oddly and cause other strange problems.

I think he's actually talking jEmplode 2.0b11 (which was so named because it came out coincident w/ Empeg 2.0b11). I dropped the Empeg-version-#-matching-jEmplode-version thing after that.

Of course, I have to say, if he's using a Jemplode that old, he should upgrade it too.
