Anyone know of Windows software that can do this?

I think Tag & Rename can do this with ogg's but I am not sure about Flac files.

What player / application are you using that can't show you the flac tags?

The PhatBox car jukebox only supports ID3 tags on FLAC files. Their bundled encoder puts the tags in the way they like it but I converted these from ape using dbPowerAmp.

I'll give Tag & Rename a shot. It seems to be the proggy that everyone recommends.

Wait, dbpoweramp has an option or plugin that lets you write id3v2 tags to flac's / oggs

In Tag & Rename you may have to rename the files to ogg for it to work.

I looked all around the site and on the forums and through the programs options and couldn't find a way. But if you know something I missed please do tell.

I know... I know.... I was trying not to mention the name on this board. I still have an empeg on the shelf waiting for a future car that is more friendly to a DIN size HU then is my current Audi.

If I had to do it again I think I'd come up with a good in car mount for an iPod.

Well I installed the newest version of dbpoweramp and I was unable to find the option of always write id3v2 tags. They have the never write ... options but it looks like they removed the always write ...

As for Tag & Rename you will need to rename the flac files to mp3 and then add the tags from the file name. Then rename them back to flac
