Right after the announcement of the "3.96 final", there is the comment "Notes: - There is a bug in LAME MP3 Encoder 3.96 Final version that can cause skipping. We recommend you to download LAME MP3 Encoder 3.96 b2." Well, so much for the "final" part I guess. If using --alt -preset standard it should give comparable results to 3.90 --alt -preset standard except that it's faster and yields smaller files. I've tried 3.96 with 5 cds and I'm getting files that are about 10%smaller than before Edited by rtundo (15/04/2004 18:16)
