The last couple of months I was frequently being annoyed by some clicking sound coming from my win2k-machine. I finally found the cause : the "who's online" page has got an autorefresh time of 60 seconds...

My order of things related to the internet after a reload:
1. Open the sound control pannal and disable IE's click sound
2. Open IE, and type www.mozilla.org
3. Download the newest Mozilla build and enjoy.

I just can't stand the click noise IE has to make for web pages.

Or just delete C:\WINDOWS\MEDIA\START.WAV
