I don't know enough about programming to know if this feature would even be possible (hence the "question" in this subject line), but if it is, it would address one of my biggest pet peeves with web browsers.

And now, in the style of Andy Rooney:
Ever notice that when you enter a URL with a typo in it, it goes into your drop-down "location history" (and your "back-up" history), just as if it were valid, but with "Network Error" as it's "page title"? There's no way to edit those history lists to take it out (although some browsers do let you do a "clear all" to erase all the lists). Currently I have two boo-boos in my list, but at least a couple of dozen valid locations I'd like to keep in it.

1. Are these kept any place (config file, registry entry) where they can be edited/deleted selectively?

2. Could a "right-click" context-menu option (just for example) to edit/delete an entry in such a drop-down be implementable, or do the programmatic controls used for these things not support that?

/me waits for empeg big brains to interpret pinhead's problem

Firefox, mostly. But when it comes to the location/URL drop-down, it works just like IE6.

I have the same peeve. What also irritates me is the different behavior with regards to how Firefox handles previous text-box entries. Just like in IE, when you start typing you get a drop-down with previous items. In IE, though, you could scroll through the items and delete whichever ones you wanted. It doesn't seem like you can with Firefox.

D'OH! How simple is this? I found the answer here:

1. Highlight the address in the list
2. Press Shift-Delete and Voila!
