....but water treatment plants and whipping smallpox and polio didn't save Rick from heroin, crack, alcohol, heart valve infections, cirrhosis and whatever else killed him. Reports are he was quite charming.

"Vitamin V" is historically pretty benign. When last I checked, no documented cases of anyone killing themselves with Valium alone. OTOH, meth....oh and I remember that dentist who threw himself into fatal cardiac arrest with pharma cocaine...
Edit: Oh, and Vicodin, Percocet, Tylox...the various oxycodone+acetomenophin products??.....as marvelous as they are for their intended purpose, you will kill yourself with acetomenopihin/Tylenol-induced liver failure before you manage to develop a long-term addiction to these.
