Maybe I am inventing this, but I could swear that sometimes, when I put the player to sleep at home, the disc drive continues spinning (I can hear it by putting my ear to the chasis) for much longer than a minute that seems to be maximum idle spun-up time, as far as I noticed. Also, I think I occasionally hear head seek clatter when disc activity icon is off. Running 1.0 dev.

Have you checked whether these bugs (the disk spin as well as the timecode bug reported in the other thread) happen with 1.01 dev?

No. I have blamed it (incorrectly) for my intermittent problems with synchs over Ethernet from Linux, and reverted to 1.0. I will try with 1.01 as soon as I find time to back up all the things I did to the root filesystem while playing with it...
