Any ideas on why under the "All Tracks" view of Emplode I have 609 more tracks than under "All" view of Jemplode 67? I'm running 2.0 dev final and the latest Hijack...

There is some funny business going on it looks like ... On my test Empeg there were 1855 downloaded, 1855 in the database, but 1731 in an All Playlist. I'll investigate later tonight.

It was actually deduplicating on titles ... Kind of a funky problem actually. But it actually revealed a huge performance bug (to see if a playlist contains a tune already, I search by tag first, but that may have many hits, so I take wherever I land for a match and search forward and backward from that point for an FID match, but i was just checking down to 0 and up to the end, rather than continuing to watch the sorting tag -- that is, if I'm looking for a tune that is 1972 year, I search for the 1972's ... As soon as hit 1971 or 1973, I can stop searching, because I'm out of my little "bucket" of possible matches). Anyway, 68 is up ... Fixes this and removes a warning that was hanging around from trying to speed up/fix refreshing/canceling network broadcast discovery.

Jemplode 68 did the trick... Both Emplode and Jemplode now report the same total tracks on the unit.

Thanks!

Is it possible to save what tracks I mark as toggled color? Cause I use it to mark which ones I have added lyrics too and I just dont like leaving jemplode open cause Ive got thousands of songs to do and its bound to be closed and loose track where I am.

The best way to keep track of an arbitrary group of songs is to put them into a playlist.

You don't need the playlist to be something that gets played. You can mark the playlist "Ignore as child", for example.

I've got a few playlists that are there as just a holding pen for special stuff. All of my lyric-tagged songs are in their own playlist, for example. This also helps for when I want to demo Emphatic.

Yeah I agree with Tony ... Toggle Colored is intended to be transient -- basically just a different way to help you find things in the tree, but it doesn't write to the player or anything. I could probably make it save the FID of the colored nodes so at least it would recolor when you restarted jEmplode though.

Does Jemplode only mark one FID colored at a time? Or does it do multiples?

I think you can mark many FID's as colored

What I have is my play lists set up by artists then albums under that. and at root I have a (favorite songs) play list. I started out putting lyrics in all my (favorite songs) songs. and I have now started at the top artist and going thru all the albums doing all the songs. and I just toggled them as I add the lyrics. I guess I could always just mark them but man that would take a while to unmark them once im done.

That's exactly what I am doing.

What's wrong with making another playlist "(Lyric Tagged)" and putting them in there? Why even fiddle with the marks?

The only difference between what you're doing and what I'm doing, besides the playlist names, is that I've made yet another playlist for the lyric-tagged songs.

Or, you could do the opposite and make a "to be lyric tagged" playlist and *remove* songs from that playlist after you're done tagging them.
