I can't frickin' wait for Amersfoort 2005..... just had to say that.

I second that. I'm still planning out my time there, but I'll have the plane ticket soon. It'll be a total blast!

Well, the flights are booked for SteveH and myself. We're flying out on Thursday night, coming back on Monday morning. £40 each, not too bad at all.

Seeing as we arrive Thursday night I'm thinking a night in Amsterdam would be cool, although I'll have to check for vacancies at the Hotel Julf, that's assuming he's still offering.

I'm also wondering about transport, we could hire a car for approx. £100 from Friday to Monday. Does anybody think we'll need it? We managed on the train back in 2003 but we'll be about much longer this time. I throw this open for discussion....

My personal opinion is that hire cars are a waste of time in a part of Holland where the distances are small and the train services immaculate. I travelled down to Delft a fortnight ago, the service was absolutely on time: First class is much better priced than we're used to, and I think worth having. You can check and print out the timetables you need, the relevant fares and even how to use the ticket machines from the Dutch railway website, in English.
And in Amsterdam, all the trams start at the station, so it's not very easy to get lost!

I'll be leaving Noordwijk sometime Friday afternoon, and just need to get across to Amersfoort, probably via Amsterdam. And my ticket home is on the Sunday sometime...will need to check exactly when.
