Is it possible to set one of the macs as the repository for the updates and have the others feed off it? _________________________ -- Murray I What part of 'no' don't you understand? I don't know offhand how you might force system update to use a proxy.

System Preferences - Network - [ethernet/Airport] - Proxies Setting that will apply a proxy to any OS X app that uses the sydtem defaults, including Software Update, iTunes, Safari, etc... Apps like AdiumX have a toggle in their preferences to either use system managed proxies, user set proxies, or none.
