All I know is the reserve is over $175. It looks like a nice package though.

Got all the stuff from him today. I hooked it up to my sterio and it sounds great but the tray will not olpen. looks like someone broke it trying to get the hard drive out. The little plastic tabs that hold the hard drive and tray on the bottom are broken. I found them in the case. I am going to try to supper glue them back on.

The broken tabs and the tray-not-opening thing might be two different issues.

I have a prototype Central where the tray won't open when using the front-panel button. But if I use the remote control and go into the menu, and say "record from CD tray", "multiple CD mode", then it opens the tray.

The problem is that some of the front panel buttons have stopped working on that Central. Despite checking every contact and tracing continuity on every control line (even with a schematic obtained from Hugo himself), I was never able to solve the problem. I was forced to use that menu sequence each time I wanted to rip a CD.

So anyway, check to see if the tray will open when you use that menu sequence.

The eject button is working. I took the top off and lined up the tray and pushed the eject button and it olpened just fine. I am gonna try to secure it down with somthing.

Okay, good. At least it's a solvable problem.

Not sure if it's a common problem for those internal plastic tabs to break off during shipping, but I also had that happen to one of the units I purchased on eBay...I was able to get it working and get the CD/HD tray lined up correctly...

Not sure if it happened during shipping or if the previous user hosered it up...But I slapped in a 120GB drive on a removable caddy with the ribbon extension cable and I'm rippin' and burnin'.....Good luck,

Randy
