This should really be in the thread about RC planes...

I managed to buy this (no, not the car ) - it's one of these .

Only problem is that it is in Bristol (UK, close to the M4/M5 interchange in North Bristol), and the seller needs to free up the space ASAP. The airframe can be dismantled and carried in an estate car.

Would anyone here be able to pick up the drone and hold on to it for a couple of weeks? All costs (fuel, van rental etc.) will naturally be covered...

Unfortunately I have not yet managed to track down the Rover/Lucas CT3201 turbo-jet engine - the one from this one has ended up here.

Wow! I thought that I had already seen everything when I drove into your Alladin's cave of a garage! I am not even going to ask what you want it for.

I can't be much help on the storage front as I am miles and miles from Bristol. How about contacting a removal company like Pickfords, they would collect it and store it for you?

Cheers

Cris.

I'm quite happy to go get it for you (it's a dull time of year for the retired!) for the cost of a day's transit hire+fuel, but I've nowhere to keep it: How about your friend in Harrogate? If it's going back to Holland, here's logistically good, I would have thought.

Thanks! Much appreciated! Right now it looks like I can get Wayne to do the trip, but if not I might take you up on your offer!

Well, there is a story that goes with the current state of the garage - will write it up Real Soon Now.

If you have problems I may be able to help, as I've only about 30 miles away from there.

I may know a source for the turbojet as well

Ahh. Thanks! But seems I got it worked out - my friend Wayne (who will probably join us at the Cambridge meet with my Pink Panther) will have to go down there anyway to pick up a Land Rover, and he will have a trailer on it.

Now you got me interested!

I am sure you are also the right person to know about the legalities of flying something like that...
