Quick question:

I have VLC and a DVD in a drive. Is there a way to set the machine up so that I can click on a single file/shortcut on the desktop and the computer will launch VLC, play the DVD, and go into full-screen mode?

Just create a shortcut with something like this:

The -f is fullscreen. Might have to change the #s to make it pick the right drive or something.
