Coming up to this junction, I'm in the position of the red Ford and indicating to turn right. Elderly lady in her car is in place of the silver Nissan and also wants to turn right. Its clear, I go and she goes as well behind me, doing this to my car and this to hers.

Sigh. Anyone know a decent bodyshop around North London?

Can't you just claim on insurance? Assuming it was her fault, your insurance company should fight your corner.

It is still the hassle involved in it. Sadly, there is never a good time for this kind of thing. At least it looks like it was minor / no one hurt.

I will hold back any jokes about people driving on the "wrong side" of the road...

Yeah it was fairly minor, and I'm not too worried about it. The lady did a ridiculous manoeuvre which wasn't my fault.

Thing is, I don't have time to wash my car let alone get the damn thing repaired.

If you are short on time then try someone like Helphire. In cases where it was clearly not your fault they can give you a replacement car and short out dealing with the third parties insurance company. They claim the cost of the hire car etc back from the party at fault (or rather their insurance company).

Last time I got hit by someone else their insurance company contacted me and sorted me out with a hire car, picked mine up and delivered it back when it was fixed.

Indeed, if it's a clear not at fault accident, you can claim back any and all expenses incurred as a result of the accident. This includes rental car, taxi back from the garage, accommodation if necessary and so on. You can claim directly from their insurer or go through a blood sucking accident claim company who will add their fee to the settlement.

Yeah, I suspect that is why the other party's insurance company was so keen to help me out last time. If I was short on time and didn't get immediate help from the other party's insurer then I wouldn't hestitate to use someone like Helphire, why should I have to go out of my way to short things out when someone has hit me ?

Thanks for the advice guys, its really helpful!

I will take some time out tomorrow and phone around to see what these companies can do for me, and ask my insurance company what to do next.

Yeah. Nice double entendre. Do they pronounce it in any radio or TV advertising?

I'd never noticed that before. I have never seen/heard them do any radio/tv ads.
