Hi all I have decided to sell my other TWO RioCar (the first two never opened empeg went to Norway some time ago... http://empegbbs.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=0&Board=sale&Number=244252 ) These two units are MK2a, used in car and in perfect condition, I have all the cables, remote, sled, package, manual and original cd. Plus I have smoke lenses installed in both units, blue original lenses, green lenses and two other smoke lenses (never used) Don't know how much I could ask... I'm open to offers  I'm in Italy so consider it as positive if you are in Italy or in Europe... Thanks for your time

Hey Stefano, How are things? So.. Are these your last empegs? What are you replacing them with? Anyway, this is tempting. Not that I desperately need a third empeg, but 1. I don't see anything similar being produced in the future, even though the news that Hugo's working with the iPod team is promising. 2. you're in Italy 3. I am pretty sure the empegs are in good conditions. Well, I'm seriously thinking about this... You don't happen to have a radio module, do you? After all the problems I had, I wouldn't mind having a spare radio too.

Yes, these are my last empegs... I bought a new car (a beautiful Alfa Romeo GT) and with a double din hole in dash I see many possibilities!
Nothing to compare with empeg, but some 2din 6,5" touch screen dvd/cd/fm/divx/radio stuff is tempting me...
The other empeg is from my friend Massimo who bought a new BMW 320 that has in-dash integrated car stereo and can't pull out that crap!!
I can guarantee my empeg is _perfect_, while Massimo's empeg had now and then the 'dimming' problem (the screen dimmed out and become barely visible); I found on the FAQ how to resolve it (simply changing a resistor) but never done that.
For this reason I tought to ask about 300 euros for my unit and 250 euros for Massimo's empeg.

OT too.. I'm interested in replacing the stock car head unit with smething bigger better and louder :-) but if you want to keep the original one, there are many aux-in interfaces! You can look to our italian forum at Alfa 147 Virtual Club http://www.147virtualclub.it/forum/ in "Hi-Fi & Car Aufio" section, you can find many threads discusing aux-in interfaces and ipod interfaces... Edit: I'm trying to remember some manufacturer... one of the most important is Bortesi www.bortesi.it they have on its site aux-in & ipod interface for the original Alfa car stereo... you can email to bortesi (at) bortesi (dot) it for info.

Couldn't you use a JL Audio Cleansweep to hook up your factory radio to an amp and aux in the Empeg to that? The Cleansweep has an additional set of inputs.

Hi Lupo, yes the units are still for sale, I'm in contact with another member who still waiting my photos... these days I'm very busy so until the next week I can't do that!

Hi all, I have one more empeg/riocar for sale! My friend Barone changed his car and now his good old riocar Mk2a needs a new home! It's a 10Gb MK2a, serial 03012809 in perfect condition and standard options (blue lens, remote, no radio module). He had a spare 40Gb hard drive floating around and has no needs of it (!!), so you can consider this as a gift He is asking 300 euro plus shipping.
