I am doing a bit of desk cleaning, and I found a spare PCATS tuner that I will likely never use (not being a big radio fan). It has been fully assembled by Eutronix, but never tested or installed beyond that point.

Okay. True... In my case, I had three unassembled kits sitting on the shelf since, well, since the kits were made available. Recently I needed to reclaim the shelf space, so I decided to get the tuners assembled. Knowing that I would never use three, I decided to offer one here and keep the others as spares*. Still, sitting on a shelf is pretty close to finding them "just lying around"... And trust me, there is stranger / more surreal stuff there, and not all of it is empeg centric.

Anyone here familiar with the original Tempest Tubes mod chip?

* - Unless there is a greater demand than expected and I choose to sell a second tuner.

Still available? My install-in-progress has two din slots, but one is a pouch that will require some dissassembly to get to. I'll buy the tuner and use it until I add a full AM/FM/CD deck in that second slot and replace the stock amp and speakers. Ultimately, the second deck is cheaper than the tuner, but your tuner has "time convenience" by giving me radio asap without waiting to finish my full install.

Actually, I should pass on this. I'll get a used deck off eBay and leave the tuner for someone with only one DIN slot. Sorry for misleading the thread.
