okay i need a geek and for some reason i thought this might be the best place to come

How can i get my mac that now runs windows too to speak english as it currently is stuck in german due to me acquiring a dodgey disc

I don't know about your mac specifically, but on mine...

In the upper right corner of my screen, on my menu bar, is an American flag. Does yours have a German flag there? Click on it...

And if it's the Windows instance that's speaking German, it's Start, Settings, Control Panel, Regional and Language options. But I don't know what the German words for those things would be.

It's Start, Systemsteuerung, Regions- und Sprachoptionen, second Tab called Sprachen, the button Details, first Tab called Einstellungen, and there select English as your language. You can change the keyboard later, if you can read again, what's on the screen...
Don't know for MacOS, sorry.
