I thought this might interest some people on here. You can get a free Cypress PSoC evaluation kit whilst stocks last. I've got the full development kit already but free stuff is always good

It comes with everything you need to play about with two PSoC uCs. The evaluation boards have a little breadboard stuck onto them as well so you can make small projects or devices if you want. You can see the contents here. You can use their PSoC Express software to automatically generate code for your project but also write it in assembler if you want. PSoC Express won't do anything hugely complicated but if you just want a simple controller then it should be good enough.

Mmm... the free eval kit description mentions only software, not eval boards and the like. It'll be interesting to see what it actually includes.

Cheers

Yeah. I wondered that myself but it is the hardware kit I linked. I received mine today and it contained everything listed including the two larger evaluation boards.

If anyone is still waiting, I just got an email from them today. It has a UPS tracking number on it. I ordered it so long ago, though, that it's being shipped to my previous employer's office, in LA.

I ordered one after reading the first post, so quite a while ago, but when I checked with the Cypress webmaster, they couldn't find my registration or order and sent it over to the Onfulfillment-people. but I haven't heard anything from them. I also sent them a mail without hearing anything, so if it shows up, it would be a nice surprise...

I sent an email saying it was probably stolen from my porch. She sent out a new one the next day. Much better than the initial two month wait.

Forgot to mention, mine finally turned up, no confirmation mail though. I've not had time to take it out the box and have a play yet.

Thanks for the offer though!

Working on a step motor interface control. We use the PSOC's in a couple of places on our lathes. Mostly for a closed loop alignment system.

Hi.

Mine finally turned up. There is one discrepancy I noticed, the documentation states there should be two PSoCEVAL1 baord in the kit (the ones with the breadboard), but in mine there is one and a different MiniEval1 board. Everything else is the same as the packing list.

Is this the same for everyone else, or is my free stuff not as good as your free stuff?

The page does state that you will receive one kit or the other. You got the other.

Well, another kit turned up in the post. So now I have two of both types of board..... so neener^2

I remember the website having problems when I put my details in so I probably refreshed a key page. So anyways, now I can have a cluster of the little blighters!
