woke up with this idea in my head.... a used parts service and small repair's service

the general idea is to collect used and partly broken empegs and dis-Assemble them, keeping the parts that work. this can be on a "donation" basis where users with broken or used empegs can donate them to me or i can buy them very cheap... if done on "donation" basis i had the idea that if another user need parts or repair they only need to pay for the work hours, not the parts

I think it's a good idea considering that's more or less what Stu and Mark are doing right now...

Whether it's a good idea for someone else to start up a similar operation, I don't know.

oki.... mailed rob for some spare parts but all his stuff was located in storage that he could not get to... he better tell why himself.. a bit personal reason

I'm all for reusing the dying empegs out there (being responsible for one myself). It's tough to ask someone to donate a valuable VFD though. Maybe more of a "salvage yard" network. Or a Craigslist type "ask and you shall receive" setup.

It's always good to have additional repair experts and stashes of spare parts.

my idea was an international "salvage yard" network...

i could setup a shop system.. each item will have contact info for the one who has the part....or i could offer to collect and store parts?

maybe even set up a site that collects info so that owners and interested only have to go one site... of course with links to all others that offer services for empeg players
