Odd, I thought all the screws were listed on the parts list.

no they are not listed on the link you gave me
anyway it's cheaper to get them from a danish shop...
but i still need a handle... the player got stuck and the handle did breake in two
but a mk2 facia and a blue lens would be nice.. best if it is inside the EU

I have been looking through my spares collection, while testing VFDs. In the process, I came across a Mk2 handle. It's a little scraped but completely intact, but is just the cast aluminium part, no steel brackets or screws. What seems like a fair price?

It is the one piece for which that statement is true. Just about everything else in the machine has spares out there. So.. what's it worth to you? That's what you must offer, to convince somebody else to remove one from their own empeg. ??

yeah, but i'm new here and don't have a clue what things are worth... Mark just told you how much a handle is worth. There are no spare handles. What a handle is worth, therefore, is an arbitrary combination of however much it takes to convince someone else to go handle-less, and how much you're willing to pay to stop being handle-less. If you insist on having a price-tag to start with, then I'm willing to part with my handle (I have no spare empegs, or handles), for $2000 USD. Perhaps there are others out there who are less attached to their handle.

Bo,
I'd suggest looking for a 2nd empeg as a backup/spare parts. Then in the meantime continue your quest for a cheaper non-functioning empeg to rob parts from. That way you can have 2 complete empegs and a parts empeg.
About the best and only solution as not many people will part with just a handle. Sorry it broke on you already....

It IS possible to repair a broken handle, although the end result is not pretty, at least not the way I did it. I am assuming that the handle broke somewhere along the long bottom part. Find a piece of tubing that will fit snugly over the handle, fill it full of epoxy and slide it over the broken ends so that it bridges the break. The handle will no longer fit flush against the face of the empeg like it did before, but in a pinch it will restore functionality. Tell your friends that you did it that way to make it easier to grab the handle when you remove the empeg from the dash. tanstaafl.

What is the handle made out of? Could it be welded?

You might try taking it somewhere to be welded. If you can't find anyone to weld it for you I can try to TIG weld it for you. As long as you pay the shipping costs, and throw me a couple buck if you’re happy. If interested PM me and we'll work out the details.
If you do get it welded try to find out the exact metal its made from (maybe someone here would know) and go to a welding supply shop and get the correct filler rod.

Some day I'll get these handles mass produced (via extrusion and extensive post production machining). I only need the CADs or someone who can recreate them.

I wouldn't think enough people would have broken handles to make that worth you while. Especially since a used Empegs is not commanding top dollar anymore. A custom handle for a custom face plate would be nice however still a limited market.

you would have to do pre sales and get enoughe pre sales to make it worth your while.
I'm in the process of trying to re-create the 303 fascia. A custom handle would be more in order of importance around here.
I just wish someone could get with me on exact mesaurements of the fasica so that the making of it will be correct from jump. Not really in the mood to be tinkering with it trial and error.

Given the apparently fragile nature of the handles, perhaps as well as people who have broken handles, the pole might also reflect those who might think it worth having a spare if the price was right.

Email to reserve your handle.
