For once, this one isn't Vista related - the answer would apply to previous versions of Windows as well.

With Windows Explorer set up in "Folder View", that is, a two pane view with folders in the left pane and files in the right pane, if a file in the right pane is highlighted (not opened, just selected) making the right pane the "active" pane, is there any way to get back to the left pane, that is, make the the highlighted folder in the left pane active via the keyboard instead of clicking it with the mouse?

edit: Even a keyboard shortcut that emulates a left-button mouse click would help.

Shift-Tab works for me in Vista, I'll try XP in a moment.

Edit: Yeah, Shift-Tab works for me in XP too.

Hey, how 'bout that!

I use shift-tab all the time in Word and Excel, don't know why I didn't think to try it in Windows Explorer.

Thank you!
