So, I got an XBOX360 "Super Elite" or whatever this bundle is called, as a Xmas present
It's funny because I have not much time for videogames, unfortunately, but end up having two consoles .
I only have Forza Motorsport 3, so far, and i have to say it is a really nice game.

I am only now exploring the menus and the Xbox universe. I understand you can somehow connect to friends, miuch like with the Wii.

So, who are the XBOX owners in here? Any reccomendation, comments for a new comer? Is there anyone here who would like to share the xbox code, if that's how it works. And, where do I find mine? Maybe it is just my xbox account name: "taym at ilquen" .

This latest xbox version comes with an HDMI connector, and I am impressed that there are, supposedly, already some games running at 1920x1080, Forza Motorsport 3 being one of them.

The XBox 360 has a decent internal video scaler to scale up to 1920x1080, but very few games run at that resolution natively due to to limited resources. Some games don't even run at 1280x720, like Halo 3.

As for games, I haven't kept up with the 360 much lately. My studios first game, Darksiders, comes out in early January. It's a Zelda adventure like game, where you play as one of the horseman, 100 years after the apocalypse.

Indeed. Everyone at the studio has been stunned by the excellent reception. It's pretty rare for a new IP from a new studio to launch to such high regard. Even Penny Arcade bashed a negative review from Kotaku.

So far I've been enjoying the final copy. I made the credits for helping out on the final balance pass of the game, and it's been interesting to see some of the changes made towards the end of production. I didn't complete it back then, and have managed to avoid spoilers, so I'm eager to see how it ends.

I just watched a video review from GameTrailers and it looked pretty decent. However, if I had only the audio portion of the review to go on, without GT's numerical rating, I wouldn't have a clue if they liked it or not.

From listening, I simply don't understand what the reviewer is talking about. I mean, I can understand the language, but the review itself is so pompous that to me, it only comes off as grand-standing on the part of the reviewer. It's as if he's an aspiring novelist without an editor to keep him in check, forced to write game reviews. In other words, a long-winded bag of shit that just makes my head hurt listening to the drivel. I give the review 1 out of 10. The game itself looks like a solid 8.

I'm patiently waiting for the next Zelda before I spend any serious time with another game.

Both Gametrailers and Gamespot are like that. They have to have something bad for every good thing they say. I mostly just listen to podcasts for my videogame info. You get a much better idea of what something is like when they spend fifteen minutes talking about it.

Giantbomb was saying to their podcast how it's great because it's the dark Zelda we have been waiting for. I like the bright cute see style of the Zelda games and don't really want a dark one.
