The Rio Car store for clients outside of the USA is now online at www.empeg.com/store with shipping expected to commence in 24 to 48 hours. If you find any issues with the store, please let me know.

Sorry for the delay!

Heh, just giving you a hard time, Rob. All in good fun. We're aware that you're no longer in control of your stock.

Question: Will you still be offering hard drive upgrades via the store? Or at all? I'd like to make sure my drive-upgrade FAQ is accurate on that point.

Oh, and international customers can now order car players. I just realized that. Okay, that is very important.

Just to be clear...

I can't order colored filteres, additional HD, radio tuner (I know they're not available yet, but at least they appear), etc from the US store, correct? I only see the players themselves, unless I'm missing something.

I'm about ready for a second disk now, and wouldn't mind another color for the display.

The accessories are not on the US store yet, but some of them are on the international store. The two stores are run quite independently by different companies, so there is some divergence in schedule.

Upgrades are not currently available from either store - I need to check how these will be sold. In the meantime you could email carsupport@riohome.com, as they may be able to arrange an upgrade independently of the online stores.

Now for the million pound question. . .

If a part is available on the Empeg Store that is not available on the Sonic|Blue store for whatever reason and I live in the USA, can I order it from the Empeg store or do I need to get some "friends" outside the US to order things for me?

Odly enough, it confirmed a connection question i had in a schematic I am making up. Just nice to know I am not going completely crazy.

Note that the tuner ships with an adapter to convert the European style socket to the Motorola type.

We can't ship anything to the USA. If something is on the empeg store it will appear on the US store at some point in time.

Do you know if I'll need an adapter to make it work for an Audi/VW? Not sure if what it's got is a european standard

Audi/VW/Mercedes/BMW have european plugs.

As rob says though, you get an adapter with the kit so either plug is fine.
