Just a quick post to say many thanks to Rob and the gang for organising such a good meet! Seems amazing that it's been 3 years since the last one. It was great to see so many familiar faces, although it was a shame that a few couldn't make it. I didn't take many pictures this year, those that I did take can be found on my Flickr account. Well done to Cris and Nick for the fireworks, hopefully you'll see a finished video sometime soon (possibly even with a bit of shaky-cam from me). I was also particularly humbled to win the Boxer memorial Empeg for my part in the quiz. While I no longer have a sled in my car, I can assure everyone it'll have pride of place in my MLord dock in my office. Although I might have to upgrade the 10GB disc in it! Until next time....

For the empeg meet there was approx. 20 of us. However, since it was also Rob's birthday party there was probably at least another 50 or so. But then again my powers of estimation vary.
Don't think so, at least I don't remember being in one.
I don't think the hotel had a problem with it, they had a large field out the back.

Yes, what a fantastic time we all had !!! Thanks to Rob and all those involved in putting on a fantastic weekend. I'm sorry I couldn't be there for more of it. I have edited together a quick video of the fireworks. Thanks to Andy Norman and AndyM for the amazing additional footage. If anyone has any more please let me have a copy so I can edit it in http://www.vimeo.com/26224056Also, if you head over to my facebook group you can see the photobooth from the evening. Only a couple of empeggers in there, see if you can spot them... http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150253170179378.361398.248015559377Cheers Cris

I don't think the hotel had a problem with it, they had a large field out the back. I don't think the hotel had a problem with it, but I did hear the following morning that the police had called the hotel to find out what was going on. Because the Army had called the police to find out what was going on. You'd think that the Army would be used to the occasional loud bang, though. Oh, and the wedding party at Lulworth Castle apparently enjoyed the fireworks as well...

Because the Army had called the police to find out what was going on. This is the best thing I've ever heard in my life ever Awesome !!! I must admit I assumed the Hotel had made the Police aware, they should have! I had a discussion with the manager before the event and he seemed to think everything as in order. I had however told him we were not expecting many of the fireworks to go above the tree line, and that there wouldn't be many big bangs. That did not turn out to be the case Cheers Cris

Thanks everyone for sharing, was glad I was able to virtually attend for a little bit. Caught most of the show and tell before driving to Vegas. pca, amazing work as usual with your projects, any plans for some ring of lights integration? The 3G connection was solid enough that I was able to listen into the quiz and other post lunch activities.

I can only join the others in saying what a great weekend and meet it was and a big thanks to Rob for organising it!
I took some pictures and about 3-4 hours of video, which will be made available when I get around to it.

Here's our closest approximation to a group shot, taken from the roof of Julf's cold war machine! I would also like to give a huge thanks to Rob and everyone else involved in organising an amazing weekend. I'll maybe try and lurk a little less Cheers, Seimon

Patrick probably has an approximation of a group video, shot from his quadcopter, though it probably has a fairly random selection of people in it...
It really was a great weekend. Thanks RobS and all the others that made it possible.
Must sort my photos out tomorrow.

I know i'm not well known here and haven't been a member that long but some of you guys helped me out big time, it's always to put faces to names, shake a hand and buy a pint in recognition of those facts!
glad y'all hhad a good time regardless of my absenteeism!
