Hi folks.

We haven't talked music in a little while, and I just had to bring up my most recent obsession: Chvrches.

They're a Scottish synthpop band whose first album, "The Bones of What You Believe" will be released Tuesday. I've been listening to their singles and an early EP for a couple months now, and it's my absolute favorite music of the last couple years. Their biggest single so far, "The Mother We Share," might be my favorite song of the past five years.

I know I'm not the first person to hear about this band, since they've been pretty hyped over the spring/summer, but I just had to post about them because I'm so in love with this album. If you don't mind (or love) lots of synth, pixie vocals, and great pop composition, you won't go wrong with this album. NPR currently has it as a first listen.

I just wanted to thank you. I got their latest album when I was in Scotland a couple of weeks ago, just because of your recommendation (well, and a particularly low shelf price as I walked into a HMV store for other reasons).
