I'd like to make some promo items for my business, but I've been a little shocked at how expensive it is. The last I checked, to put my logo on something like 25 2GB flash drives costs $10/drive. That seems really high to me.

I'm sure the equipment to do this is really expensive, but how expensive? If I plan to do lots of these drives it might be worth it in the long run. Isn't it just some sort of thermal printing process?

I've been trying to research this but I haven't had much luck...

Screen printing is a messy process, so there is a lot of set up and overhead for small volumes.

On the other hand, the sticker industry has become quite advanced. You can order very high grade stickers produced for reasonable money. And you can stick them on whatever item you feel is appropriate.

Thanks guys. I'll look into sticker makers. Any links to those?

And Doug, I have poor design sense and a shaky hand. While that's really cool, it would look terrible if I did it myself smile These drives would probably work well with that tool...

http://www.stickermule.com/ was great for me the only time I've ordered stickers. Worth a few extra dollars for the service.
